Flow

Picture
An active linking of breath and movement.   This class moves through traditional sun salutations and hatha yoga postures in a steady, rhythmic pace to increase muscle strength and stamina while maintaining awareness of breath.  Students learn to use the breath as a bridge between body and mind creating a strong sense of stillness (sthira) and sweetness (sukham) in each pose. The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali 2.46  sthirasukhamasanam  "Asana must have the dual qualities of alertness and relaxation." T.K.S.Desikachar, THE HEART OF YOGA
ALL levels encouraged.

Move into Nidra

Picture
This beautifully crafted class combines a mindful movement asana practice with guided meditation, Yoga Nidra.  Yoga Nidra is deep relaxation with a sense of awareness, lying comfortably on the floor as you are guided into meditation. Thirty to forty minutes of mindful movement melting into thirty to forty minutes of Nidra.  No experience necessary, all levels will love this class.

Yin

Slow down your practice in this class ... poses are held for 3 to 8 minutes allowing the stretch to occur deep within the connective tissue, thus opening your energy channels (meridians) affecting all of the chakras, koshas and all of the subtle body properties. Use the breath as your tool to quiet the mind and sink deeper into each stretch. YIN GONG is all of the above with the added therapy of a gong's vibration played throughout the class!  The deep and constant vibration from the gong will clear your chakras and energy chanals leaving you feeling vibrant and alive.  It's amazing!!
